Testimonials

Below are success stories or testimonials from our Shopper’s World students and their parents.

We enrolled our children in Academy of Mathematics & English in the summer of 2015. Karen is an inspirational person, she follows each student personally and always encourages them to achieve their full potential. My son went from a 60 in Grade 11 to a 71 in University English in Grade 12. Karen and her staff give their students the confidence to succeed by making sure they have complete command of the basic concepts. We were so pleased with the progress of our son that we enrolled our daughter for help in Math.

Karen and the Academy for Mathematics & English are a must for any student who needs help in achieving their goals. Thank you Karen!!!!!!!!!

Hi, my name is Leon Hoon. I’m in grade six. I go to Academy for Mathematics & English in Shopper’s World Brampton. When I first joined the Academy, I was struggling in maths. I got C’s. After I came to the Academy, Karen and Stella helped me alot. They help me with my school work and prepare me for school tests and quizzes. I’m getting A’s now. I’m soo happy for my improvements. I like the Academy and it is a very good place to improve your grades.

My name is Atman Adhyapak and I go to Academy of Mathematics & English in Shopper’s World. I must say, that is the best tutoring place I have ever been to from all other tutors I’ve been throughout the years. When I got here my average was between 70’s and 70’s and I wanted to improve like BIG TIME! My goal was when I got here was to get in the 90’s and get good percentage when my report cards go home. The tutors over here are very nice and patient. They take their time until the student is fully understood the concept or topic. When the lessons are done for each topic, they give you a test and make a mark for what percentage they need in order to move on and if the student does not do so well they stay on the topic until they understand. I think this is a fantastic idea because I had problems with some of my topics from school so they wouldn’t move me on until I 100% understood. So I kept go with this programming for about 2 months and I have improved tremendously. When I got my report card home I came from a 65% to a 84% in Mathematics. I wasn’t satisfied with this mark because I was LITERALLY averaging about 100% but since they were comparing this to my first term mark I understood why they gave me a 84%. I was happy when I got this because I knew I deserved this. It’s summer now and I am preparing for grade 9 and so far it is going well. In conclusion all I want to say is if there is any student out there struggling in Math or any other subject, the Academy for Mathematics & English is the place for you!

My son came to you with a ‘C’ in maths in grade 4. He was very shy and lacking in the skills to pass in this subject. He stayed the course with a knowledgeable teacher and started to make improvements.

Today, he is in grade 6 and I am proud to say I watched him change significantly. His first grade 6 report will show that he is now an ‘A’ student in maths! I am very happy and he has become confident and maths is now his favorite subject! Thank you for making learning simple.

Hi, my name is Aishvika Shandrabose and I am a grade 8 student. I started going to the Academy for Math & English in Shopper’s World Brampton in the beginning of grade 8, which was 6 months ago. Before I came to the Academy my grades were between 60’s and 70’s. I joined the Academy because I thought if my grades were like this I would have to take applied courses in high school. After I joined the Academy my grades improved a lot. I am above the average now. I am getting high 80’s to low 90’s. Because of the Academy, I have been chosen for the IBT (International Business and Technology) program. This couldn’t of been accomplished if the Academy was not there for me.

I like Shopper’s World Academy and I look forward to more progress in the future.

Where shall I ever begin? I started coming to your Academy for Mathematics & English when my marks were at an all-time low. My parents enrolled me in your tutoring centre hoping that my marks would bell-curve upwards and hopefully one day my marks would be high enough for university. Coming from a background where everyone in my family is educated, it would have been a serious problem if you hadn’t saved me. The environment, the tutors, you being the principal geared me towards the right path, the academic path. My overall averages before coming to the Academy were in between 55%-65% and in Grade 12 I graduated with an 85% average.

Due to my hard work and positive learning environment at home and at the Academy, I will be going to McMaster University for Computer Science I (Co-Op). When applying for various universities/programs my dad was still slightly worried, but I got 5 out of 5 offers all for Computer Science but at various universities. I’ve learned several different things while at the Academy besides academic success and achievement. I’ve learned how to be more patient, more caring and considerate through the way my tutors talked and taught me material.

Thanks sincerely.
