Markham Crossing Tutoring Centre

Before coming to tutoring, I was staying up until midnight each night trying to understand my math homework. After receiving tutoring, not only did my grades increase but I gained more free time. Now, I fear no math problem because I know I am capable of solving any questions.

Luther and his team have done a great job with Nicholas’ transition from Grade 8 to Grade 9. He was below grade level when he first started at the Academy. In 7 months he is now at grade level and has achieved 78% on his last unit test. They are always on point and help with homework which relieves a lot of pressure from him. Thank you Luther and your team!

I was getting 80’s before and now I am getting high 90’s. I always liked math before but the Academy helped me challenge and push myself to understand new math concepts.

When my daughter first came to the Academy for Math she disliked doing math homework. Now, she enjoys it. She looks forward to the days when she comes to the centre. I’ve seen that excitement in her other classes as well, hence the certificate she just received at school for her efforts in all Subjects!!

Bema had been struggling with Math for a long time due to the fact that he doesn’t ask questions even if the concept is not clear. Here at the Academy for Mathematics & English he feels very comfortable and I’ve noticed a change in his demeanor. He’s more relaxed now. I’m very pleased.

Taylor has always struggled in the subject of Math. As such, her confidence was very low and her attitude towards the subject was negative. Since joining the Academy in August she often brings home great marks and approaches each task with renewed enthusiasm!

As Charmaine’s mom, I would like to say thank you on her behalf. We are so glad that we found the Academy for Mathematics & English learning centre. Obviously, Charmaine’s confidence and endurance to face the challenges and difficulties are strengthened. I simply hope she can keep up with this. Thank you.

John’s marks have consistently improved throughout the year. The tutoring has been a great help to John. He is able to gain greater knowledge in the subject matter, becoming proficient and gaining confidence in his ability. John enjoys attending his tutoring sessions and feels it has contributed to his success.

Thank you so much for your help in helping Grace to read. Starting in September, Grace had trouble with word and letter recognition, low self-esteem and not wanting to go to school. Now I find her in her room, reading Dr. Seuss and other books on her own!! She is back to her happy self and looks forward to school.

Thank you Luther so much!!! I’m so happy with Lucas’ progress… I know he just needed that one on one tutoring and he was going to do well… Not only did his math grades go up, but all the other courses too because he has more confidence in himself… I can’t remember exactly what his marks were at the beginning but I think low “C”… So big improvement. Now he is averaging 85%+ in Grade 8 with 93% on most recent Test!!!

Anthony was facing many challenges with math. The centre was able to successfully identify the gaps and create a learning program around those areas. My once stressed out son is more relaxed with math and enjoys his tutor. He brought home his first “A” as well!
